QM BioEnterprises has built a £ 33 M Innovation Centre in London E1, on behalf of Queen Mary University of London and the LDA. The facility opened in July 2009 and is the third and largest of the purpose built spaces in London for start-ups in science and technology. This five storey building comprises three upper floors, providing 38,700 sq. feet of laboratory space to young companies in the bioscience, clean-tech, environmental and nanotech domains; the bottom two floors belong to the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. The overall building and the bottom two floors, were handed over to QM BioEnterprises in June 2009. The upper three Innovation floors will be fitted out to the bespoke needs of incoming tenants.
